Bronchoplasty for the Preservation of Lung Tissue

Abstract
|
|
|
Bronchial anastomosis and bronchoplastic procedure in the interest of preservation of lung tissue are relatively new developements in the field of thoracic surgery.
Since December 1966, we have experienced 3 cases of bronchial anastomosis after sleeve resection of main bronchus in traumatic interruption, tuberculous bronchostenosis and neoplastic bronchostenosis. Post operativebronchography and bronchoscopy revealed complete healing of the anastomosed bronchus without evidency of restenosis.
